Athletic Wellness is One of the hidden gems of the Eau Claire area. This place absolutely saved my sanity and well-being when an unexpected and very debilitating injury struck me. The local health system we have here is great, but it is seriously overburdened right now. The folks at athletic wellness were incredibly responsive, flexible, and helpful. They basically helped me through the worst pain of my life and got me moving and pain-free by the time I was actually able to see my regular doctor or any of the “specialists” I am supposed to be able to rely on. I would encourage anybody in pain or discomfort to not wait for the medical system to be available. It honestly felt like the whole staff here were rooting for me to get better and all contributed to my wellness. I am grateful.

Best place ever to go for recovery by far. I hurt my groin three days prior before state track and they got me back to full speed by the time I was ready to run. If you need somewhere to go to better your body, choose athletic wellness. Very nice staff, treat you like family.

I’ve been working with Athletic Wellness for the last couple years. I’ve done everything from Strength Training to recovery with Athletic Wellness and it definitely paid off. Just yesterday I received my first division one offer to play football at the next level and I strongly believe Athletic Wellness is a major reason why I received the offer. In April of track season (2024), I pulled my hamstring and wasn’t sure if I would be able to come back healthy. From the day I pulled my hamstring I went into Athletic Wellness consistently to strengthen my hamstring. A week later I had a very important football combine. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to compete since I just pulled my hamstring a week prior. I gave it a shot anyways and PR’d in over half the drills we did. Later in the track season I was able to run sub 11 seconds in the 100m dash, becoming the second person in school history to do so. I haven’t had any problems with my hamstring since and am feeling better than before!

As an aging marathoner I’m expected to be getting injured, getting slower or both. Since coming to Athletic Wellness I’ve run more miles, felt stronger and have run my workouts faster. Recovery and strength are a key component to success in my sport and AW has helped me stay in the game longer than I thought I ever would.
