This resort is absolutely beautiful. Exceptional standard with almost everything - even the bathroom fixtures are very high end. From the moment we arrived this week, we have been pampered. The staff here is very nice and attentive. AND the spa is the best that I have ever seen, and trust me, I’ve seen many. The beach and water are also gorgeous - the hotel area is located beach front. We love this property and will be back soon!

This hotel may look great from a distance, but I can confidently say it is NOT worth the money. Yes, it’s a one-year-old building, and yes, it looks nice in pictures, but that’s where the positives end. The hotel is terribly managed, with extremely poor build quality and shockingly bad attention to detail.
As soon as we entered the property, things started to feel off. Missing tiles, cracks, and holes in the marble design were visible everywhere, making it clear that no proper inspection of the build quality had been conducted. The “WOW” reaction you might get from afar quickly falls apart upon closer inspection.
The room we were given was outright filthy. It looked as though it hadn’t been vacuumed or mopped in weeks, despite being supposedly “cleaned” before our arrival. The terrace was no better, littered with cigarette butts and ash, further proving that cleanliness is not a priority here.
The staff were unprofessional, inattentive, and appeared entirely unfit for their duties, adding to the frustration. It was hard to believe this was a high-priced establishment when everything, from the cleanliness to the service, screamed negligence and incompetence.
While the location next to the beach offers great views and easy access, that alone cannot justify the outrageous $850 per night price tag. I absolutely do not recommend ANYONE waste their money here unless they want to stay in a dirty, half-finished hotel with unprofessional staff. Avoid this place at all costs.

I had the pleasure of staying at this resort twice, and both experiences were absolutely fantastic. The rooms are breathtaking with stunning views of the ocean. The amenities are top-notch, making the stay very relaxing and soothing. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary refreshments in the penthouse suite. Staying here twice in one month was truly a blessing. The pool is wonderful, and the poolside service is exceptional. I loved being greeted warmly every time I arrived; the bellmen and staff were amazing. My only minor complaint is the lack of trash bags in the restroom trashcans for feminine hygiene products. Other than that, my stay was amazing, and I will likely be visiting again. Also the robes and slippers are a nice touch. My favorite were the stand alone tubs. Very luxurious and amazing stay.

Went for happy hour after reviewing the menu online. Was charged full price for both the appetizer and glass of wine ( which should have been $10 each). Asked the server to correct it and she proceeded to tell me the price was already adjusted. So, an appetizer was $22 at half off? For Yucca fries? This wasn’t correct. Attempted to call the resort and got no answer. Emailed them as well. I will update this review if they correct the issue.
12/15: Amrit has handled the matter professionally and refunded the money. I appreciate them handling this customer service matter. The property is stunning. The food was excellent.

• Pros||o Location!| It’s right on the beach and they have their own section with walking paths from several areas of the resort. | The spa has the best access||o Room| I booked an Ocean View King room. They were hosting a very large group, so I was given the accessible version of this room.| It was spacious and clean| The room was split in half by a TV wall, with the bedroom on one side and the living room on the other side. Each side had a TV| HIGHLIGHT|• This room was a corner view with a wrap around balcony. |• The balcony had doors on the bedroom side and living room side. ||o Staff (on property)| The staff on property was very welcoming and knowledgeable| I had an issue with my key after checking in and there was a new key ready for me as soon as I got back to the front desk||o Restaurant| I got dinner at Tula.| It’s a large space with more ocean views but it was dark outside so I couldn’t see anything ☹| The menu was small, but the food was very good (I had the snapper)||o Parking| Valet only. | The staff was nice upon arrival and departure|o Spa/Wellness Area (I took a tour prior to using the gym)| This is the highlight of the property| The spa is massive|• Spa amenities cover 3 floors|• Actual spa (treatment rooms) is on a separate floor with amazing ocean views in the relaxation area| Separate pool for spa guest and exclusive beach access||• Cons|o Staff (Telephone)| I called 3 times in an attempt to secure early check-in|• Attempt 1: The staff member seemed very confused about how early check-ins work. He took my number down and asked to call me back…. I never received the call back|• Attempts 2-3: No one answered||o Blandness| While the views, room and spa were nice, there is an overall bland/plain feel of the property. For a 5-star resort I was expecting a little more flare but there were lots of plain walls and just bare spaces||o Room “dings”| There were a few cracks on the floor| Stain on the counter in the beverage area| Mismatch drains in the bathroom sinks||Overall, the room was very nice, clean and the view was top notch. The resort itself is part of a two-building complex, one is for residents the other is for the hotel. There is a major focus on wellness and sustainability, which is reflected all over the property (down to the bamboo combs in the spa locker room). Would I go here again, yes. Would I recommend it to others, yes.

What a waste of an incredible location. This hotel sits on one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen, but everything else about it is a disaster. It’s hard to understand how a property with such potential can be managed so poorly. The hotel is severely understaffed, poorly maintained, and completely incompetent.
From the moment we arrived, the flaws were impossible to ignore. The building looks nice at first glance, but closer inspection reveals missing tiles, cracks, and cheap, rushed construction. It’s as if no one bothered to check the quality of the work before opening the doors.
Our room was another disappointment. It was dirty, with clear signs that it hadn’t been properly cleaned in weeks. The terrace was even worse, littered with cigarette butts and ash. For a hotel charging $850 a night, this is simply unacceptable. They claim the room had been “cleaned,” but the state of it told a very different story.
The staff? Unprofessional and overwhelmed. It was clear they didn’t have enough people working to handle basic operations, let alone deliver the level of service you’d expect from a hotel in this price range. The management is either completely absent or entirely clueless about how to run a property like this.
This could have been a fantastic destination, but instead, it’s a prime example of wasted potential. Unless you’re looking for frustration and disappointment, save your money and stay somewhere else. This hotel is not worth your time or hard-earned cash.

The resort is new and I’ve already spent two weekends there. We had the most amazing time! Beautifully appointed rooms with a view of the ocean. We visited the spa on our second visit and can’t wait to go back again! Loved having drinks and snacks by the pool. Definitely recommend a vacation at Amrit!

Tried this newer resort for 3 nights between Christmas and NYE. While I had some mixed reviews, I was willing to give it a shot. We had mixed experience at resort. Here are some pros and cons. Sadly more cons than pros. Sorry.||Pros:|Great location right on the beach.|Beautiful hotel with huge guest rooms.|Super comfortable beds and great amenities in bathroom.|Some staff members that were suberb were Samantha at the front desk, Rochelle at the Residents front desk, Ralston at the bar who worked non stop and always with a smile on his face, and Lulu at the bar.|Beautiful Spa with great massage people and facialists.|Decent food....must try the Lobster Curry Chickpea soup at Laylay|Cute Pop-up Tavern for Christmas|Beautiful pool|Some fun beachy restaurants within a 15 minute walk||Cons:|Hotel not the cleanest for a resort that just opened in May. Hallway rugs already dirty.|Housekeeping did not show up at all one day. Then the next day showed up and did the bare minimum. Staff didn't seem to care when we mentioned this.|While I mentioned the wonderful staff above, other staff members were not great and seemed annoyed to be working. Staff both working the restaurant and the Pop-up Tavern just seemed grumpy and in a hurry to finish their shift. In the main restaurant we were greeted welcomely by the maitre'd who was great, and escorted to our table where we sat for almost 30 minutes until we finally flagged someone down to take our order. Never brought our drink order. When meal was delivered we mentioned about our drinks and they person did get them and apoligized, but our original waiter barely made an appearance. Didn't eat here again.|Food....while the food we did have was good, the menu was very limited. They need to expand this. If you don't like seafood there is very little to order. No kids menu. We saw many people ordering Doordash to the hotel and that in the end what we did as well.|The Spa...while beautiful and we had great massages and facials, we found the spa needed alot more staffing. Very limited towels, which is strange because they have a whole water journey area with alot of water. Needed to take towels out of other lockers as there were no towels anywhere! Also very slippery surfaces that no one was wiping down. It was raining one day we were there and lots a water over slippery surfaces everywhere. And overall dirty surfaces everywhere. The showers were filthy as no attendants was making sure they were cleaned up between people using them. Shampoo dispenser empty, mouthwash dispenser empty, used razors left in showers. In the relaxation room, which is beautiful, where you wait for your treatment they have a tea station. Literally had one Lipton Tea bag and one Earl Gray Tea bag for people. This was at 10:45am! They had a big beautiful tea box display so it look comical with only 2 tea bags in it. I actually took a photo it looked so bad. And they offered one pathetic half full jar of pepita seeds as a snack. Hope no one is hungry. Thought possiblely when I came out of my treatment they would have refilled the tea, but nope.|Pool....as I said above, beautiful pool area. But sadly no pool attendant to help with towels (which just a few were on a towel racks outside of pool), no one to help with umbrella, no one asking if you needed a drink or food. There was a water stand. If you needed food or drinks you had to go inside and order at bar and wait for it. Again saw people ordering Doordash. I did go inside to order some drinks to take out to pool and a woman who had arrived that morning and was sitting down at the beach came up and was upset that there was no service at the beach either. She said there wasn't even water for her kids. She didn't expect she would have to leave the beach and walk all the way up to gets drinks at a 5 star resort. She was very upset on day one. We did not get to the beach so I can only mention what she said. Another issue at the pool was alot of water splashing out of the pool due to the windy conditions and the drains on the pool deck were clogged by debris and the water couldn't drain causing huge puddles of standing water. Again where were the staff the clear and sweep the water?||I am hoping all these issues will get resolved and this is just growing pains as the resort is still new and trying to figure things out. Sadly we heard alot of people complaining about many of these same things. I worry that the excellent staff members mentioned above will get burnt out as they seemed to be carrying most of the work load and putting out fires from other staff members not being that great at their jobs. I think this could be an amazing resort once they figure out things.|Would I return? Right now my answer would be no. It was very expensive for the level of experience we encountered. 5 star resort? No. 3 star at best right now. But with improved management and more staffing it could be in the future. Good luck!
