I was a little nervous trying out the spa for the first time based on reviews, but my husband and I really enjoyed it! The couples massage was great and we enjoyed the space by the pool to hang out and relax for a while. They could work on a few things with the staff to improve the overall experience (only some people received a tour while others had to ask each other for guidance, staff could be more professional overall), but we'll definitely be back. The hotel itself is very charming but a little confusing. They must have added on over the years. We and another family struggled to find the restaurant based on the signage. However, the food was delicious and the service was good. We had a great mini getaway!

This was the perfect weekend getaway for my wife and me. We had a wonderful time just the two of us, and enjoying one another’s company in the romantic setting. The entire staff was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. The menus at the bars and restaurants offer freshly prepared seasonal cuisine and reasonable prices. We particularly enjoyed the view of nearby Lake Geneva from our very comfortable and clean suite. ||||One particular staff member that was remarkably courteous and friendly was Gustavo, who was our server for a Saturday evening meal, and again for Sunday brunch at 240° West. We found his charm and personality to be extremely genuine and good natured. ||||If time permits, be sure to treat yourselves to the indoor pool and day spa. A great location to just relax and in a serene atmosphere. Already looking forward to returning.

We’ve stayed here twice and really liked it both times. Great place especially in the winters as there are a lot of activities for kids to do indoors. The heated pool is great for everyone. Nice cozy rooms. While the room does not have a microwave, they have some at common areas which worked out great.

Lovely winter getaway during the Christmas season! The room was beautiful, bed was super comfy. The pool and hot tub areas need a little updating, and the common areas are kind of drafty in the cold temperatures. The staff is professional, helpful, and friendly. We will definitely return!

I was a bit hesitant after reading some reviews. We usually stay at the Grand Geneva and wanted to try something different. We had a harbor view room which I highly recommend. Front desk staff was so friendly when we checked in. Room was cute and the vaulted ceiling and view made it very cozy. Room has slight wear and the mattress wasn’t the best, but it wouldn’t deter me from staying again. The decorations in the lobby for the holidays are so pretty. My big takeaways are go for the harbor view and skip room service for breakfast. I’d happily stay again for the price, location and view.

I love staying at the Abbey. It’s our home away from home. The Christmas Dinner Buffet was lovely. We had an issue with the neighbors smoking in the room next to us and the front desk. First for us to smell
smoke in 10 years of staying here. We were moved promptly which was very much appreciated. There are many
reasons to stay here. My kids and I love the activities offered with your resort stay (2 nice pools, board games, scavenger hunt, movie room, s’more’s by the fire). 240 West is an exceptional restaurant. We eat there every visit. If you are lucky enough to visit while d’lite duo (live musicians) is playing, you have to check them out—they are phenomenal!

Recently had a stay here after it being recommended by friends. However it was absolutely the worst stay I have ever had. The room was the dirtiest room I have ever stayed at. The pillows and bed sheets had mold on them. The doors did not work. The carpet was filthy. The door was cracked. All that was offered in return was a $40 refund despite the actual health hazard that this hotel presented. This hotel was highly recommended by several people but this experience will be discussed because no hotel, let alone a “resort” should put their patrons through this.
