Great staff. A lot to do in the resort alone. Indoor pool, play area with trampolines. Arcade machines, laser tag, go karts, and much more. Great value for what you get. Update on this review after I checked out. Our room was cleaned when we go it, it never got cleaned during our 1 week stay. We did have the "Do Not Disturb" sign the first 2 days as we were getting settled in. Both the sink and bathtub did not drain properly. Pillows were very uncomfortable. The water park was nice, small, but nice. Very clean and kids had fun. After my stay I would change my rating from 4 stars to a 3 star. I believe the room service could have done a lot better.

We’ve stayed at similar water park resorts around Minnesota and Wisconsin. Metropolis Resort is a tremendous value compared to the rest.

We liked the all in pricing of the water park with the upgrade for multiple days at the trampoline park.

All the staff we interacted with were professional and courteous. The facilities were very clean which must be quite a challenge when catering to so many small kids.

The location is close enough to the Twin Cities to allow even a weekend stay. This was our first stay, but we would be delighted to come back again.

Just happened upon this place while searching for a hotel for the kids. The front desk gal who checked us in was so sweet. We were greeted by the mascot who gave our kids little candy canes. Room was clean and spacious and the Water Park that's included in nightly rate was above and beyond- and SO much fun! City Eats had a great breakfast in the AM.
My 3 kids and husband and I had SUCH a great time! I highly recommend & we will for sure be back. What a great experience & a highlight of our winter Midwest road trip!!

The rooms are comfortable and pleasant. Coffee, cocoa, tea, seasonal decorations, very nice. Employees are friendly and helpful. There's good coupons for food and souvenirs. The restaurant food is good and generous.

The walls and floors are paper thin. You will be listening to the sound of elephants and slamming doors until midnight because people don't watch their kids.

While the water park and Action City were great, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Our room, a suite, was in pretty terrible condition. The footboard and headboard on the bed were both super loose, the room needed dusting on all the little knick knacks, the whirlpool tub broke while we were there and was randomly turning on the jets. We had to unplug it, and maintenance was never sent. We made them aware right away, and while I understand not having anyone on maintenance staff at night, no one came to look at it over the next 3 days. Just no for the money.

The best room set up ever. Finally, someone took the time to design a hotel room that makes sense. Very well thought out. I like a firm bed, so I felt they were very comfortable. Spacious and modern room. Great staff. Great value!!! Would absolutely stay here again and would seek it out as my first choice next time.

We stayed here last weekend and the blonde at the front desk didn’t leave us with a good first impression to say the least. Upon arrival I was asked to pay the remaining balance on my reservation which was much more than I was quoted on the reservation. When I inquired I was told that the resort fee and taxes had been understated on my reservation. Not sure how that’s my problem but felt they should honor their quoted price. After much haggling I was able to get the quoted price for the resort fee and an arcade card for the difference in quoted taxes. Whatever, fine. But they woman was so damn rude and unapologetic it was infuriating.

The room was decent but there were fruit flies and the walls are thin, so we heard crying babies for quite some time as we tried to sleep.

The waterpark is underwhelming. Only two slides and one is pitch black and too scary for kids. The other is has a jarring and abrupt end for adults and you will bang yourself up if you are a bigger adult. There are balls in the water which is cool, but the basketball hoop is about 20 feet up and no kid could play with it. The lily pads are chaos and there is no one regulating it to make sure the kids are being safe.

The action and play pass is decent, but they charge more if you are over 44” or something and it’s already expensive. They allow you to play the blue arcade games free, which is nice, but the red ticketed games are outrageously priced. Prices per game are between 2-5 dollars for these short games and none of them offer opportunities to win large amounts of tickets except a few which are hard to win, expensive and lacking instruction. The prizes also left something to be desired and were overpriced.

The DQ on site was nice and offered fair pricing. The blond long haired fellow working the arcade was also very friendly and accommodating.

I wouldn’t stay here again without a good deal. I signed up for emails and texts and they bombard you with offers.

I still just can’t get over how rude the front desk lady was upon arrival sonInhave to give one star.

AMAZING SERVICE ! Beautiful up to date rooms! Very impressed with the front desk and how they handled my reservation not being found, but the email was there. They upgraded my room to the a bunk room for more room for the kids with no extra charge! My girls and son absolutely loved it! They added a zip line outside and other than no 5 point harness, it’s ok. Being there’s just a seatbelt that makes me very nervous !! But that’s just me
Also.. take there coupon and the the pizza & cheese fries ! They are HUGE!
