Rooms: Small, but pretty good. Our place had 2 beds and 1 couch that folds into a bed. Service: Food was good and servers were very nice, although there's a cat in the lobby that was super mean. They made my little sister and some nephews bleed! Location: Beautiful nature surrounds the area. Lots of trees. There was a neighboring house one night that we think had some energized children because they made my parents stay up until around 1 AM. Not gonna dock a star though because it's not the hotels fault. Overall pretty good experience with the family.

Beautiful location, gorgeous views, terrible service. Late lunch, food was blah. As we arrived, first hostess we met couldn't be bothered to look up when we asked if we should seat ourselves, yeah she says. We were glad to meet our next waitress who seemed very friendly, but quickly abandoned us. Never checked on us for another drink order, never brought us a check. We finally had to go find her to pay. Like I said, lunch was just so so. Soggy fries, fish and chips salty. Shrimp were good, but more of an appetizer, definitely not a lunch portion. I expected much more from this experience based on the beautiful surroundings and high price. I've had better fish and chips for a tenth of the price from a tavern, with better service too.

Lovely grounds, however SUPER DIRTY room!! Please thoroughly check the rooms because it's quite embarrassing for a 4 star hotel. Looks like they "turn it over" but miss the whole cleaning part. The amount of filth in there was unacceptable and we're not picky people. Don't dare look in the corners right where your head goes because there was about 3ft of pure dust inside those corners. The blinds were so dirty with countless dead bugs. Even the toilet paper holder had dust accumulated on top from years of neglect. The floor was really sticky. Mold in the bathroom. Cleanliness isn't a priority here at all. I'll look for fancy elsewhere!

Grazing Springs

Overall, while Alderbrook offers stunning views and great amenities, some service-related issues and extra fees detract from the experience. Not a great value considering the prices/fees.

Pros:
- Beautiful, peaceful views from the waterfront rooms.
- Spacious in-room soaking tubs.
- Spa services are exceptional (they don't charge a 20% service fee).
- Delicious meals that were both well-prepared and flavorful.
- High-quality in-room toiletry products.

Cons:
- Check-in process at the front desk was extremely slow.
- An automatic 20% service charge was applied to all food and drink orders. Service fees and gratuities should be at the discretion of the patron, not automatically imposed by the establishment.
- The resort also charged an additional $27 per day resort fee for who knows what.
- Noticeable mold on the shower grout and shower curtain.
- Beds are on the softer side and bedding was very light for fall/winter with no extra blankets offered.
- Room service had issues—lost our ticket, got the order wrong, and it took nearly 2hrs to arrive. Still had to pay the 20% service charge on top of that.
- Pool is very noisy until 9pm. The adult-only policy for the pool and hot tub doesn’t begin until 9pm, which may not be ideal for those seeking a more tranquil experience earlier in the day.

Our family has been coming by for years for brunch, dinner, or to enjoy the spa. The restaurant has a dreamy view of the water and the staff is always exceptional. The food and drinks are lovely, but pricy, but worth it for a nice meal out. The grounds, lobby and walkways are so breathtaking and serene. A walk out on the pier is worth it any time of year. We’ve had several massages at the spa. Lauren and Kenzie are amazing, don’t hesitate to book with either of them. The spa itself is nice, but for the price could use some improved amenities. The lounge is peaceful, with tea and crackers. You do have access to the pool and hot tub, sauna and steam room with services but so do the hotel guests, so depending on the day/time you may be sharing. There are showers and lockers. The services themselves are wonderful. All in all we love Alderbrook for a special time, date night, or family outing.

It was so lovely, our first time there. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Even one staff member went above and beyond to help 2 of us who forgot our bathing suits. She loaned us her own stuff. It was Thanksgiving so super busy. Impressed with the kids and dogs being so welcome. Thank You.
