We came here for a one night stay for our anniversary and had a lovely time. |The main building has been refurbished to retain its traditional charm and historical interest. |The pool and spa are spacious and relaxing. |The Japanese restaurant is the best in the UK we’ve had outside of London, albeit carries a similar price tag. |They also have excellent facilities such as tennis, padel and a well kitted out gym. |The staff are all very attentive and kind. |We would highly recommend this for a long weekend.

We have stayed several times and always enjoy our stay. The food is great, particularly at the Japanese. If you would like a relaxed stay where you dont do much but enjoy the spa, restaurants and surroundings, i would highly recommend. The service is faultless. Having stayed since a few times since opening, i would say the Ian Flemming room had a couple of decor issues (it appeared the radiator had leaked onto the textured wallpaper) and while i appreciate this cannot be fixed immediately, at these prices this should be rectified quickly. The view from this room is however, stunning!

Absolutely stunning venue, they pull out all the stops with their staffs friendly and professional nature, the uniforms, and attentiveness but not too much. The grounds are gorgeous and so well kept the building was so clean on the outside it's very well taken care of. We enjoyed an incredible hot air balloon dining experience, and the chefs food was insanely good as well as the cocktails. Would 100% recommend, they pull out all the stops at this place. A nights stay and spa is on the cards for us next here.

Everything Amazing except The Deli!||||We came for a couple of nights "Detox" . Nice room, nice check in, and then a dinner to beat all dinners in the Japanese restaurant . The food was superb. Next morning we did a long work out in the very nice Gym - nice staff that although we hadn't booked, were happy to guide us on the odd machine we weren't familiar with - and then a nice swim - both indoors and outdoors. After that we were definitely ready for lunch - something healthy, but we were hungry. To begin with they serve a Broth - sounds healthy and nice , but turns out to be literally hot water with a strip of indigestible kale that has not been cooked, and almost as if in recognition that this is tasteless , a chilli. It was just unpleasant. I get it, health spa deli. Hot water .. so what next ? A salad of just one vegetable - tomatoes - thats it.Or, Pizza ! From one extreme to another. Desert - All sorts of chocolate brownies and cookies . No fresh fruit. A nice classic Tuna Nicoise with fresh tuna which they obviously have in the Japanese restaurant would have been great and worthy of the 5* the hotel commands. Or a Chicken or Prawn caesar? try swapping the hot water broth for Chicken broth with chicken ? Or Fresh strawberries or Melon ? All healthy , and nice . We had a great stay and hope to return but The Deli really lets the side down

We visited the hotel for a spa day. I’d like to start from the beginning. When you enter the area of the club, there are no signs that show you to the spa and nor there are lights on the way and it makes it impossible to find your way in dark. The outdoor pool is quite nice but the indoor one is unfortunately dirty. We have not even used once. Massage and spa facilities were good and clean but we can not say that we were satisfied with the food. Everything, all the drinks and the food was overpriced. The service was good but we waited for a table to eat at for some time. The dining area is not large enough to provide enough tables for the customers. Overall, we find the spa overpriced and not a high quality one.

My wife and I have stayed before and thoroughly enjoyed our stay so we decided to book one of the cottages over the half term week with our two young children.||In short we all had an amazing family time, the kids absolutely loved it all.|We made use of the Sharkey and George kids club on most days, there was a Halloween party organised, both heated outdoor and indoor swimming pools were used to their maximum and the spa was lovely for couples.|The food is top notch at every time of day from the garden room Full English to the afternoon pizza and vegetarian bowls at the Deli to the evening Japanese restaurant which is expensive but so worth it. And special mention to the staff at Sir Frank's Bar for some stunning cocktails.||Staff suggested we even had a private screening of a movie in the cinema next to reception for the children before dinner. They loved the popcorn machine!||We would have absolutely no hesitation in booking again.||Very memorable trip and thanks again for the staff for making it so special.
