My husband and stayed here cause it was our 45th wedding anniversary ... when we entered the lobby we were greeting with awesome employees. Registration was a breeze ... Entered our room which was a studio, and was pleasantly surprised. Just lovely and then the balcony with amazing views, I was overwhelmed with being satisfied. The pool/hot springs were amazing very clean. The property was very well maintained... I could go on and on but I won't !!! Can hardly wait to return ... Thank you to all the wonderful employees!!!

The double rooms with two baths, full stocked kitchen, fireplace, and view were excellent. We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant onsite and of course the Hot springs was fabulous. The staff was very friendly and the whole resort was very clean. Looking forward to my next visit there.

Upon arrival the receptionist Crystal was very nice and warming. The next day we went down to the marketplace to soak in the hot pool and it was closed, so we went in the store and wandered for a few mins. The blonde girl working in the store never acknowledged us one bit walking in and never said a word as we walked out. We stayed here 3 nights and got to sit in the hot pools for a total or 45 mins before getting told we had to leave due to wind. For one the wind shutting pools down was because of the pool chairs being blown around. Why would you have the chairs out in the winter time for two? This can be prevented and so very unprofessional. The whole time here the pools were shut down 97% of our duration. If we weren't already owners into Holiday inn and they brought us into buying a timeshare...we would say hell no! Overall I don't recommend this place to anyone. Stay somewhere else as the amenities aren't convenient one bit. Great way to spend my first time ever in this area....Not!

After reading a few negative reviews, all I can say is that some rooms might be better than others - either that or some reviewers are super picky! Our room was very nice, seemed clean and well appointed (full kitchen). The bed was nice, clean, comfy. Grounds were well maintained with the exception of an overflowing waste bin at the head of the walking trail into town. Staff are all very friendly, from front desk to housekeeping to spa check-in. Met several timeshare owners that were all very happy with their decision to join. We were never approached about a timeshare like some others have reported.

We will definitely be back, it was very quiet and relaxing!

I’ve always wanted to stay at Wallys
I was very excited.
Our rooms hot tub didn’t work and was clearly outdated , our kings suite was right next to a children playground with charcoal barbecue pit that left our room smelling of smoke, the lady at the market was mean as hell no smile nothing, we had dinner at Wally’s saloon when we first arrived, the host there was amazing! She still holds the essence of what it once was. Our back window was shattered do the wind storm, so we were a bit irritated,we won’t be returning anytime soon.

The hot springs at were just okay but not quite what we hoped for. Unfortunately, the mineral content seemed lower than expected, so we didn’t experience that “therapeutic” effect that’s often the appeal of hot springs. Also, there weren’t any visible displays of the pool temperatures, which made it difficult to know which pools were hotter or cooler without just testing them ourselves.

The rooms were comfortable, and we didn’t have any complaints there. Dining options were a bit limited, so it would have been nice to have more variety on-site, especially for longer stays. Overall, it was a decent experience, but we left feeling like it didn’t quite live up to the potential of a great hot springs retreat.

The hotel was average. The room was very spacious but hot. When we arrived the temperature in the room was 75°. Despite turning the air conditioning to 69°, it never got colder than 72° in the room. Had dinner at the restaurant at the hotel which was very good (although they were only serving lunch and appetizers due to being down a cook). Service was wonderful at the restaurant! All in all we were fine stopping there for a night but don't think we would come back.

The unit we stayed in had a great floor plan. We also had a full kitchen with everything that we needed. What we really liked were the hot spring pool and baths. There is something magical about the hot spring water! There are all kinds of things to do in the area. We visited museums, Street Vibrations and even hiked to a waterfall. South Lake Tahoe is only 20 minutes away and we enjoyed a sunset dinner and 3 hour cruise that included a tour of Emerald Bay.
