The games are OK. They have a great mix of modern and old school games. However, the experience was absolutely horrible .The place is filthy , too smoky. My clothes smelled like smoke. My eyes were tearing from the smoke in the non-smoking section. I was coughing from the smoke. The rugs are filthy. Some of the games don’t have chairs. The staff uniforms are shabby very unpleasant. I will not be going back.

I used to live in Northeast PA and remember when Mohegan PA first opened. Back then, it was the biggest thing to hit Wilkes-Barre/Scranton since the invention of HBO. Seriously, it was a big deal. The casino launched without a hotel, but over the years, it expanded, adding a hotel, more restaurants, and other amenities. For those first few years, this place was hopping—run like a well-oiled machine thanks to Bobby Soper, always clean, always busy, and a solid selection of restaurants and bars to enjoy between donating to the Mohegan tribe.

Fast forward to now, and wow
what a fall from grace. I stopped by a few times on a recent trip, and Mohegan PA is barely a shell of what it used to be.

First glaring issue? No valet parking. Why? I’m sure they’ll blame COVID, but come on—at least bring it back on weekends when the place is actually busy. Speaking of busy, unless you’re here on a Friday or Saturday night, the casino is a ghost town. During the week, I could have done cartwheels through the aisles without disturbing a soul. But come Saturday? It’s so packed you can’t even find an open machine to play. The extremes are wild.

And those slot machines
yikes. I swear this must be where all the old, retired machines from their other casinos come to spend their final days. The games are outdated, some displays have screen burn-in, and several machines have broken buttons. There are even sections where machines have just been removed, leaving empty spaces with stanchions. It looks neglected.

Food & Drink? Hit or miss. The buffet? Gone—another casualty of COVID, I assume. The Irish bar? Dead every time I walked by. The food court? It felt like stepping into a deserted 90s mall—bleak and lifeless. Unless you're planning to splurge at Ruth’s Chris or Rustic Kitchen, your dining options are
well, depressing. Oh, and speaking of depressing - the plants in the planters outside Ruth's Chris... they're dead. Literally.

And let’s talk about the center bar experience. One evening, I stopped for a quick drink before a dinner reservation, and the bar was a cluttered mess. When the bartender finally emerged, I was greeted with an uninspired "What do you need?" Clearly, she wasn’t thrilled to be working, and honestly, I can’t blame her given the tumbleweed-level traffic in there.

After visiting, I now understand why this place is dead mid-week. Mohegan PA is nothing like its former self. Living in South Florida, I frequent the Hard Rock casinos, and let me tell you, those absolutely blow this place away—newer machines, better game variety, cleaner spaces, solid food and drink options.

If Bobby Soper walked in today, he’d cry.

Great game floor. Slots paid out well, progressive and classics. Table games were a blast. Free drinks on the floor while playing. And they were very active in coming to you. You didn't have to wave one down or go to bar. Very good service. Not strong at all but it's free! Beautiful environment around as well. Plan a trip!

Room was great. Disappointed in overall management of casino. Most of dealers and bit bosses were disinterested. Overall the place is still nice but not busy and I can see why. Disinterested staff will ruin a casino. Also went to mount airy. Mount airy was much busier with friendlier staff. Not complaining just telling it like it is. I only play bj and craps.

Just stayed here for 2 nights February 2025, spotless throughout Polite helpful staff. Impressed with my choice of hotel highly recommended and the slots play very fair as it is mostly locals and I have seen many wins whilst here A++++++

All in all we had a good time.
Hotel room was clean but small. When we asked the front desk how late the tables would be open until, he didn't seem to know the answer. But they were very nice.
Sushi restaurant was really very bad.
Security was courteous and just about the friendliest people there. Some of the dealers were straight fire (shoutout to you Lori on roulette!)

Sean at the craps table (sat 8/10 2am) came and completely iced over our party when he took over. I was already down to my last $40 so figured I'd just throw it down. Sean cleared my money along with a bet from the previous hand. I asked as kindly as humanly possible if I could get my $40 back and he said "I didn't do anything". I asked a second time stating that it was my first time playing craps and I got the timing wrong. Still nothing.
I witnessed him ask my friend for money back after realizing he messed up his change. So needless to say I wont be going back to this casino. We're not high rollers, but we all dropped some solid coin to be there and to be borderline robbed of a very small amount of money. I get that we all have a bad day once in a while, but at the end of the day you want guests to have fun. So bad on ya for letting your mood interfere with your job, Sean.

Beautiful location with the fall colors of the trees. Service personnel were accommodating and friendly. The room was nice except for the closet was small and the mattress was too worn. The mattress had a giant sunken gully. You could feel the springs. There is no retail shops where you could buy clothing or even a tshirt from Mohegan. The food places did not open until 9am. No room service. No valet. Elevator sounded like it was on its last legs. It rattled loudly. Horse racing facility closed its food service. The food places that were open had great food. It is a shame that there were no shows and the comedy club was closed this past weekend. Future shows for comedy are few and far between. Slots were fun though. Table games were few. This place needs some improvement. I won't revisit anytime soon. So sad.
