Such a beautiful place to stay in a beautiful part of California. We recently spent a weekend at the Nicholson House and our stay was lovely from start to finish. The suite was gorgeous in terms of design and decor, and also really comfortable. The heated floor in the bathroom was a nice surprise! We had delicious breakfasts at The Waiting Room and an incredible dinner at Cafe Beaujolais right next door. Highly recommend a stay at the Nicholson House!

We’ve been coming to Mendocino for 16 years, and Nicholson House is hands down the nicest hotel we’ve stayed in. We loved the quality of the rooms and the attention to detail; everything was done to an exceptionally high standard. We also enjoyed having coffee in the mornings next door at The Waiting Room. The location was superb—you can park your car and easily walk anywhere in the town of Mendocino.

Nicholson House + Beaujolais next door = perfection. It is a special place. Great vibe. Beautiful decor. Beaujolais food is eclectic. Chef Julian is so talented and humble. Service is off the charts. I highly recommend it. Great service. Staff is happy and caring. If you want to get pampered and even spoiled while also getting the sense of local culture, this is the place. I can't recommend it high enough....

I stayed here for a getaway with my mom and dog in one of the pet friendly suites. It was literally perfection. From the welcome drink and Madelines to the heated bathroom floor to the plush towels and bedding to the ocean view right outside our window or feeling like we had a private yard to sit in adirondack chairs and drink coffee to free delicious lattes and pastries in The Waiting Room to walking steps to incredible locally sourced restaurants…everything felt like the most special moment. Had just a quick night at the Nicholson House. Great location and loved the simple check-in process. The queen room we had was well appointed and well designed. The heated floors in the bathroom were an extra-great touch. Would def come back and upgrade to a King with a view!

Nicholson House was absolutely perfect! Just a beautiful & luxurious stay. So so happy we found it. The complimentary breakfast was delicious - for two people you get a free premium breakfast item & a drink each. The location is lovely for a get away. If you are considering it just book it!

Nicholson House is a beautiful, comfortable, and special place to stay in Mendocino. We stayed for 3 nights and had the best time. There are so many special touches to the property that add to the experience. The staff is very nice and the rooms are private, clean, and comfortable. I can’t wait to come back!
