Stephen is awesome and very knowledgeable. His staff is amazing and always pleasant and helpful. Their treatments and recommendations work and are worth it. I had a PCP state they refer to Stephen as the Hollywood Doctor…well, if you want superstar results then you want a superstar to help guide you. I never thought I’d do any of this but after making the choice at 53 to improve my health, I decided to try this out. Under Stephens care and guidance, I’m down from 210-220 to, as of 11/18/2024, 159–my goal was to get to 160. In just about 10 months. I feel better, less sluggish, more energy, sleep better and just all around feel good and have an extra boost of confidence I didn’t think I needed or wanted. To go from size 34-36 to a size 29 and possibly lower; large-xl shirts and underpants to Mediums and smalls. I have had to change my whole wardrobe and have been cautious as to how much new clothes to purchase since I don’t know where I’ll land. I just bought a new belt at 171 and now having to make holes in that same belt and buy a new one. If you not only want to lose weight, but also improve your whole internal chemistry, you need to see “Dr Hollywood” Stephen. He’ll listen to you, asks what are your goals, runs the necessary labs and explains everything so well that you will know what Vitamin D does to you and how cortisol impacts your weight and so much more. He educates you which is what I really like. I highly recommend Restore Wellness. My only suggestion is to only see him if you’re genuinely serious about improving your health. Don’t waste his time if you want to keep eating unhealthy and not willing to make the necessary life changes to go along with his treatment plan. His time is valuable and best served on those truly committed to lifestyle changes and improvements. Make sure you save money for a new wardrobe also.

Steve and his medical staff are competent and compassionate people who are always ready to care for and take care of their patients. Steve’s patients’ healthcare needs and wellness goals are met and exceeded thanks to his knowledge and tenacity to tackle any and all individual health and wellness issues, especially those not fully addressed by traditional Western medicine. If I was told that in 7 months I would feel as good as I do... I would have laughed and said that ship has sailed! I had all kinds of issues that where really starting to catch up to me, I was sore with inflammation joints ached, cholesterol issues, out of shape... and the list could go on! Absolutely loved my experience at Restore Wellness RGV. Going to a functional medicine practitioner was the best choice I ever made. I highly recommend Restore Wellness for your needs. The service you receive is absolutely amazing. You are treated with professionalism, knowledge, and genuine compassion. Steve doesn't just treat symptoms, he takes the time to ask questions and find out the root cause of issues. He works with you to create a plan for you to get back to your optimal health. I've been taking my daughter to Steve and he has provided natural alternatives to help with symptoms of depression/anxiety. I myself just started on bio identical hormones after it was discovered that my thyroid was under active. I came across restore wellness through a women’s class I took. I was able to get information from Steve Martinez there. I then made an appointment and he took his time on my visits with him. I’m in remission from cancer and I’m very happy I had the lab work he ordered so I can focus on my continued journey in my remission. I like that it is tailored to me and with my background he was able to know how to help me. The staff is amazing also. Made me feel comfortable welcome from when I stepped foot through the door. I’m very happy I took the first step and made an appointment with Steve. Looking forward to also trying out other services they offer.
