Ein wundervolles Hotel mit viel Gastfreundschaft ❤️. Wir waren 2 Nächte dort und leider war ich ein bisschen krank. Im Hausboot zuvor hatte ich mir eine Magenerkrankung mit starken Krämpfen eingefangen. Das Hotel organisierte uns den Arzt, dieser kam innerhalb 40 min und gab mir Medikamente . ❤️.

Wunderschöne Zimmer, mit Kamin und eigenem Zugang . Wir hatten jeden Abend den Kamin an und sind so eingeschlafen. Auch Wärmflaschen wurden uns gebracht.

Bei der Verabschiedung gab man mir ein Lunchpaket mit Schonkost mit ❤️.

Einziger Minus Punkt: das Spa ist kostenpflichtig.

Die Gartenanlagen sind wunderschön und nachts ist es absolut ruhig.

Stunning grounds and premises, well taken care of garden, evening bonfire with get together and games for all, fireplace in the room promptly lit on request, nice staff, great spa... However, there were a number of issues that make us unlikely to want to go back.
To start with, the under floor heating in our room did not work. We were given a noisy electric heater that mitigated the cold, but only in the main room of our cottage. The front sitting room and bathroom were both freezing all the time (and we were told that even if the heating had worked, the bathroom was not heated!?).
The breakfast was nice, but the dinner was a standard buffet with no charm. Alcohol was very expensive (e.g. double the price than in other hotels for the same Sula wine). The barman was lovely, but the furniture was tired and the bright lighting killed the atmosphere.
We had read they had a snooker table, and we were really looking forward to a game of snooker in the birthplace of the game, but we were very disappointed because the snooker table was in a very bad condition and installed too close to a wall (so much so that it limited where the position of the cue), only one of the cues had a tip, and there were no rests.

It is not easy to maintain a heritage building but Savoy hotel,being nearly two hundred years old,manages it well.It is impressively decorated,clean and relaxing We stayed in one of the little villas ,effectively a small suite |There is a wonderful cloistered area to walk around looking out on well manintained grounds that have a variety of subtropical or Mediterranean plants given the height above sea level |There are some mild limitations ,we could not work our TV,the doorway into bedroom is not for overly tall people ( bend head to avoid injury) and thankfully a bathmat is provided to prevent slipping|The hotel will provide a lit fire for an hour or two if they can be assured it is supervised—I am not sure that many people might manage this nowadays |The bar menu is moderately extensive .The staff are unobtrusive 8n manner but welcoming in nature|It is a very fine hotel and a great contrast to the excessive or unsustainable tourism to Ooty,which is overly busy ,noisy,etc

This was the second time I stayed at the Savoy! It's definitely my home in the hills!!! I simply love the old world charm of the property!|Kartik at reception, the servers at the restaurant & the housekeeping staff, everyone goes out of their way to give you the best experience. Our Heartfelt thanx for making our stay memorable & so comfortable!! #Tajness

From front desk to the room service the entire experience was just awesome and amazing. Everyone was accommodating and went an extra mile to make our stay comfortable. |Special mention:|1) Abishek - who made sure our son's breakfast needs were taken care off.|2) Front desk team - who ensured we were provided with various activities to keep my son entertained. These were: cricket, rabbit feeding, garden tour etc. ||Improvements required on the F&B side especially the international cuisines and cocktails.

My experience at Savoy was nothing short of excellent. Adil at the Cantabury bar was really attentive and professional with the services. I loved the services and would love to visit Sovy again. I loved it. I would recommend my friends with to visit place as well.

Welcome was very nice and friendly from the hotel staff. They were very accommodating and patience during check in as I forgot to bring my passport, even tho hotel sent me reminders. We were shown to the room, we had booked two rooms and they were interconnecting. Both rooms were beautiful and had all amenities. We ask for the fire in the fire place in both room. One room was fine but the other room had some issues in the chimney and all the smoke were getting blown inside the room. When we reported the issue to reception they immediately sent couple of people to get the smoke out but all night it was quite uncomfortable as the smoke smell was very strong. Other than this issue the stay was very nice. The staff were brilliant. Breakfast was very nice.

Stunning location with beautiful compound area. The room has a nice old vibe while still being well maintained. However, the bathroom is like something I'd expect in a 2 star hotel, very unpleasant and cold to shower in
