Ein Hotel mit veganer Ausrichtung war für mich neu. Bereut habe ich den Aufenthalt nicht. Vom Frühstück bis zum Abendessen war alles vegan und überzeugend. Die Zimmer toll, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Nicht preiswert, aber empfehlenswert.

Ich war sehr überrascht ein Veganes Restaurant zu finden, hier ist es und der Food||war einfach super. Auch viele Organic Weine zur auswahl. Der Service wie fast überball in der USA, sehr gut. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Do NOT miss this gem!
I do not know where to start! The pool and spa are like entering a rainforest with plants galore and warm moist air despite it being winter when we visited. Complimentary daily tea time with plant-based sandwiches and a delicious sweet was a highlight for us. Dogs are welcome and clearly loved by all with a care package awaiting them when you arrive. We stayed over by the donkeys and llamas who are all very sweet. We loved saying hi to them on our walks to the main lodge. The caretakers even gave us "cookies" we could feed to them. The cottage was silent with extremely comfortable beds and so much space - living area and kitchen included. We went for a canoe ride and a bicycle ride, both of which are dog friendly and beautiful. Great bird watching and you can see the seals as you canoe. The folks at the Canoe and Bike rental are so knowledgeable and they make sure you have the best and safest outing possible taking into account tides and currents and traffic for bikes. Lastly, the environmental theme is present everywhere you look including plant based foods and no plastic cups or containers. We cannot wait to go back!

What a wonderful place The Stanford Inn is! We have been dreaming about coming here with our dogs for a long time and are thrilled to have finally made it a few years ago. So beautiful, inviting, serene, comfortable and friendly. It just makes you feel good and recharged staying for a few nights and wanting to come back. The surrounding nature is simply stunning - all you need to do is walk around, or drive any direction to be in the midst of the mountains of Redwoods, pine trees, eucalyptus groves and the rugged majestic cliffs of the Pacific ocean. The food at the restaurant is tasty and healthy - and you can rest assured about the quality of the ingredients. Most importantly, our dogs get so excited every single trip and they know as soon as we take a turn towards this place. And they search for their dried sweet potato treats as soon as they trot into the room.

This is a paradise for vegans. The resort restaurant serves whole food that is vegan, and promotes healthy eating. There is a great collection of books in the lobby. The stay was pleasant and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The views are great. There are rescue animals in the barn that you can meet. Three cats on premises that are so cute! I met Jeff Stanford, and he and his staff were very welcoming. I personally love the pool, which is inside a greenhouse. Definitely recommend this place!

This place is absolutely magical. Mendocino is my favorite place in the world and we have always wanted to stay at the Stanford Inn so we decided to celebrate our anniversary and it was amazing! The staff is so friendly and it just felt so good to stay there—everything was the perfect mix of relaxation and comfort. Ravens was outstanding, the massages were wonderful, and don’t get me started on the llamas and donkeys! Our dog Fondue was as welcomed as we were, which made our stay even better. We will make this an annual trip for sure. Thank you!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in The Canoe Suite at Stanford Inn by the Sea for two September days that were nearly perfect weather wise. When we first walked into this farmhouse cottage, some soothing music was playing which we discovered was Through the Mist by David Blonski and Anne Roos. Though we had no sea mist during our stay, it would also be appreciated. Every day is a beautiful day in Mendocino! If it were to get a little chilly, the pool is in a solarium where it is absolutely tropical.||The suite was immaculate. Their housekeeping staff is top notch. The front desk women are friendly and efficient. The Ravens Restaurant serves healthy and delicious plant-based meals, and breakfast is complimentary! Don’t miss the Portobello Benedict with rosemary potatoes. ||Our adult daughter and family visited with us one evening so our granddaughter could pet the rescue animals over the fence. She loved the donkeys most of all, but my wife’s favorites are the llamas. We saw one grazing outside the bedroom window. ||The Stanfords have obviously put a lot of thought and care into their inn, and we appreciated this as guests.

My wife, our dog, and I had the pleasure of spending our honeymoon at Stanford Inn in Mendocino for a week, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The resort boasts stunning views and a serene atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. We are vegans and we dined exclusively at their vegan restaurant, and each meal was not only delicious but also very healthy.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, adding a warm touch to our visit. What impressed us most was the attention to detail in everything—demonstrating the inn’s commitment to sustainability and quality. It’s clear that the team at Stanford Inn is passionate about what they do. We had such a lovely time and can’t wait to return next year!
