Das Edgewater ist ein sehr gepflegtes und schönes Hotel direkt am See. Ein leicht europäischer Touch bringt zusätzlichen Komfort. Das Personal war bislang sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Zimmer absolut in Ordnung und groß genug. Schön in USA eine richtige Dusche zu haben. ( keine Badewanne mit Plastikvorhang)|Die Bar ist sehr schön und zu empfehlen.|Kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: Die Speisekarte im Restaurant sollte etwas erweitert werden.||Jederzeit wieder gerne.

Wie der Name schon verrät liegt das Hotel direkt am See. Sehr schöne Aussicht wenn man Seeblick hat. Modern und sauber. Die Möglichkeiten (Spa etc) sind vielfältig. Für die 5/5 fehlt noch die positive Überraschung

HWRKOLLAGE

Mit dem Edgewater macht man wohl keinen Fehler. Wir erlebten, alles zusammen genommen, fünf Sterne Plus. Durch einheimische "Buchungsunterstützung" hatten wir ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf's Capitol zu einem sehr akzeptablen Preis (andere Erfahrungen sind in Madison durchaus bekannt).

The Edgewater in Madison offers a luxurious stay with stunning views of Lake Mendota. This AAA Four-Diamond-rated hotel has spacious, well-appointed rooms with modern amenities and comfortable beds. I highly recommend the Executive King with Lake View room. The hotel's prime location in downtown Madison provides easy access to local attractions while maintaining a serene retreat-like atmosphere. I experienced excellent service, with staff consistently going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay-- from airport pickup to check-in to room service to housekeeping. The Statehouse Restaurant serves an excellent dinner with good wine selections. The Edgewater provides a four-star experience that reflects the essence of Madison's charm and hospitality.

I was looking forward to my stay at Edgewater Hotel Madison. My river view suite was clean. The view was pretty. The bed was comfy. Those were the highlights. The food was well, worse than "bar food". The room service although ordered was never delivered. When inquiring I was informed "Yeah I don't know I don't usually work down here."
The housekeeping staff was generously tipped each day but when asked for toiletries on my third day none were provided. I could not recommend The Edgewater Hotel to anyone who likes fine things.

My wife and I came here for our 2nd anniversary. I want to stress that overall it was a decent experience. The view was nice and the staff were friendly. However, the parking was a nightmare and very confusing. If you stay here, check in first and then go park. You have two options when parking, pay 4 dollars per hour or scan your room key and pay 28 dollars for the whole night. When checking out, get your vehicle first with your key and then check out.
The room was clean, although I will mention that our room had a broken screen door and the screen itself was broken as well making having the door open a poor choice considering the insect company.
We ate at the statehouse and the food was good. The price was fair and the atmosphere was elegant. We had a nice view of the lake.
One bit of a bother was that in order to go to the pool we had to walk outside across the grounds.

Overall it was a nice stay but I do not believe we will be coming back.

Overall, it was a decent place to stay, but for the price we paid we expected much more luxury in the rooms.

The rooms were musty, not well ventilated, the bed and pillows felt way too soft and overused. The screen door had a tear so we had mosquitos and a few spiders / small bugs in the room every day.

The hotel was clean. I have to say all the staff was very polite, they even had a little welcome pastry for us which was nice. The views were lovely.

The higher tier rooms (we did the terrace room), not worth it. Might as well pick the cheapest room you get here and plan to spend limited time in it. Even with the heavy doors it was noisy and we could hear people above us and in adjacent rooms frequently. The AC was weird - had a smell and didn’t function properly even when we had it on 69-70, it was very warm.

Rooms could definitely use some updates. Okay stay, not sure we’d come back.
