Sehr idyllisches und luxuriöses Anwesen. Unbedingt zu empfehlen: Das Dinner im Glasshouse Restaurant. Es ist zwar ein Buffetrestaurant, aber auf einem
überaus hohen Niveau. Es gibt diverse Livecooking-Stationen. Der heimliche Star war - und das mag viele überraschen - das Lauchgratin.

Ich war das errte Mal im The Grove Hotel, als Golfer wäre man natürlich lieber nicht im Winter dort, wenn Schnee liegt und es kalt ist. Vom Golfplatz und der Umgebung sah ich zwar nicht viel, aber man kann auch im Winter gut abschlätzen, wie lieblich die Gegend und die Anlage ist, wenn es grün ist rundherum. Das Hotel ist nahe bei London und doch sehr ländlich gediegen und sehr ruhig gelegen. Habe selten in einem Hotel so gut geschlafen. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und unaufdringlich, der Gast ist König. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist eine wahre Pracht und lädt ein, früh aufzustehen und vieles auszuprobieren, einziger Negativpunkt war aus meiner Sicht das Fehlen von dunklem Brot. Als Kaffeegeniesser kriegt man sogar einen hervorragenden starken Kaffee zum Frühstück, nicht die übliche Brühe aus dem Krug. Die Bedienung des Servicepersonals im Restaurant ist sehr zuvorkommend, eine Vielzahl von Köchen sorgt für gesunde und feine Kost. Das Zimmer war sauber, auch der Teppich ist erträglich, wenn man die bereitliegenden Schlarpen bentutzt. Ein Riesen TV-Bildschirm gibt multimediale Stimmung und passte ins grosse Zimmer. Einziger Kritikpunkt: die Aussicht vom Zimmer war doch sehr beschränkt, kaum Grünsicht. Da wird es wohl noch bessere Zimmer geben im Hotel für romantische Stunden - für eine Businessübernachtung tat es das aber allemal.

Das Grove liegt in einer wunderschönen Umgebung inmitten eines Golfplatzes. Es ist in einem alten Landsitz untergebracht, innen aber topmodern. Das führt leider dazu, dass auch die Zimmer eher nach vier als nach fünf Sternen wirken. Wenngleich sie geräumig und sauber sind. Etwas störend ist der langgezogene Grundriss des Gebäudes: Je nach Zimmerlage läuft man mehrere Minuten zur Rezeption. Das kann nerven, wenn man mehrmals am Tag aufs Zimmer muss.||||Der Spa-Bereich ist top! Auch das Restaurant ist wirklich gut (Buffetrestaurant).

We celebrated a special occasion at the Grove recently. Due to this hotel's popularity among social media influencers, I had expected this place to be overrated. I was wrong. The service was attentive. Our room was tastefully decorated, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely - probably the best part of our stay. The hotel had the best of both worlds - old-fashioned charm and modern comforts. The lounge and grounds were beautiful.

If I had to nitpick, I would say that the corridors leading up to the guestrooms did not feel very private and was not very nicely decorated (reminded me of a locker room). A lot of the activities advertised were not available because of the season or were undergoing works to reopen in the summer.

Other than that, we had a pleasant stay.

Fabulous hotel suitable for all ages. The meals and service were outstanding. The chefs expertly prepared and served food. The art and craft activities for both adults and children were another wonderful touch. The staff, who were organising the activities were excellent. It was so relaxing to engage in creative activities as a family, and these opportunities truly enriched our stay. We all loved the Games Room and other events. | The room was spacious and very comfortable apart from the shower which you had to step over a bath to use! The opening hours of the Spa on Christmas Day was very disappointing. We remain grateful for the hospitality and the memorable moments we enjoyed during our stay. We look forward to joining you again next year.

5* Buffet, good range of food, though could be more variety. Everything was of a high quality, starters and mains were good, enjoyed the seafood, meats, sushi and Indian section. I loved my glass of cold coke. Desserts were good, the crumble and custard was very good.

Georgia provided excellent service, thank you sweetheart.

I wished I went in the day to see the grounds. Good buffet, but room for improvement in variety. Pricey but fair for what you're getting in respect to surroundings and service.
