Dieses Hotel ist eines der schönsten sie wie je besucht haben. Es liegt abgelegen von der Zivilisation. Von der Einfahrt bis zur Rezeption sind es Ca. Noch 3 km in den Wald hinein. Das Big House hat 4 süße Zimmer und es gibt 12 Cabins/lodges auf dem Areal. Wir haben im|Loft gewohnt mit 4 Schlafzimmern, einem|riesigem Kamin, einer Küche, Galerie mit Fernseher und Essgalerie. Sogar eine eigene Terrasse hatte das Loft. Jedes Schlafzimmer hat ein eigenes Bad mit hochwertigen Produkten von Molton Brown. Hier wurde auf jedes Detail geachtet. Der Kühlschrank ist mit Getränken gefüllt und es stehen einem sonst und Kekse zur Verfügung. Auch eine Tee- und eine Kaffeemaschine mit genügen Sorten stehen bereit. Das lunch war auf der Terrasse prima und das 4-Gänge Dinner war grandios. Wir haben selten so höfliches und aufmerksames Personal erlebt. Da können bisher nur die Malediven mithalten. Das Glendorn hat einen absoluten 5Sterne Standard. Das Frühstück war sehr hochwertig und ausgewogen. Das Areal hat mehrere Wanderwege und man kann 5 Stunden unterwegs sein ohne jemandem zu begegnen. Wir konnten einem Biber beim Abendessen zusehen und hatten pures Naturerlebnisse. Auf dem Grundstück befinden sich 3 Seen, ein Schießstand,Tennisplatz und ein Pool. Es ist eine Reise wert - sicher auch mit Kindern. Danke für|2 Wundervolle Tage. Thank You For 2 wonderful Days.

This was our seventh visit to Glendorn and it never disappoints. The food is beyond excellent and the service is top notch. Staff goes above and beyond to meet all requests and ensure you have a magical experience. Our family loves to visit Glendorn and we will be back again many many times in the future. It’s a pampered, rustic, outdoors experience like no other. Something for everyone in the family - even the family dog if he or she enjoys bird hunting or naps by the fire.

We had an amazing lunch, tour and experience at Glendorn. We were in the area for a wedding and were able to get a table outside on the patio at the main lodge for a late afternoon pit stop. We devoured an amazing charcuterie tray (with an incredible fig mustard preserve) and wine. Our service was impeccable. The china is some of the original family china which is such a classy touch as it carries on the lifeline of this amazing property. After our food service, we received a personal tour of the property, complete with a history lesson, from Meg. She blew our socks off! She was so personable and freely shared with us her wealth of knowledge about this property. We completed our visit with a must-see gift store visit! I told Meg to keep an eye out for us on a return visit as soon as possible. Thank you Meg and Glendorn.

The experience of this place is a little hard to convey without, well experiencing it! There are many paces that offer "luxury"; Glendorn' s version combines the subtle and consistent staff response of "my pleasure" to any request, with a dignity and grace only found in such a place. The sounds of pure silence in the face of nature at Robbers Pond or the crackling of the walk-in hearth while your choice of cabernet is uncorked...frankly, it's the home of a terrific friend who just wants to share their good fortune with you.....

My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at The Glendorn this past week and we could not have been happier with our choice. Everything about our stay was top rate from our accommodations in the Dorn Suite to the meals which were all fantastic. The Big House built in 1929 is gorgeous and staying there is a truly wonderful experience. The grounds are akin to a national park but without the crowds. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. There is something for everyone here especially if you enjoy spending time outdoors. Hiking (on well maintained & well marked trails), fly fishing (novice to expert), swimming, skeet and trap shooting, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, tennis, pickle ball, bicycling...the list goes on and on. If you are a fan of curated grounds and historical architecture you won't want to leave. A true jewel in Pennsylvania's crown!

My wife and I have had Glendorn on our bucket list for some time, so when the occasion of her 75th birthday came along, we booked the Miller Cabin for our first visit. From the moment we arrived, we knew something special was about to happen. From Trap and Skeet shooting with Charles, fly fishing with Ray and then the wonderful Labor Day Picnic--great memories forever!

Meg was super and took care of us. She made reservations for us to sit outside and enjoy the sounds. We had a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board. Meg then gave us a tour and told us about the history. She really knows her history and Taylor’s it to the audience. We will definitely be back.

This was our 4th trip to Glendorn. This time, we went for my husband’s birthday. We absolutely love it there. We have stayed in the Dorn Suite, the Forest Hideout, and the Redwood Room before. This time, we were upgraded to the Overlook cabin. It was secluded, but close enough to the main lodge and activities. It was spacious and the bed was a comfortable king. We enjoyed the swimming pool, trails, golf cart to get around, and the shooting sports. The meals were fabulous and the service top notch. We had quite the variety of foods. Veal chop, filet mignon, venison chop, duck, ahi tuna, Scottish salmon, oysters Rockefeller, and soft shell crab. The preparations and presentation were varied and interesting. Chef David made it difficult to choose from his varied menus. A highlight was a private dinner in the wine cellar. The included breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed a cocktail and billiards game before dinner. The activities are plentiful. We enjoyed the swimming pool and shooting sports with our guide Jim. Robbers Nest Lake is serene. We saw many deer. The resort is big enough that we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, even though there were other guests. Next time we go, I will order a backpack or picnic lunch to take on a hike.
