Such a dope vibe this bar is! Came on a Friday night and the dj was setting us up for wonderful tunes accompanied by delicious food and cocktails! Definitely worth the visit!

One of the worst drinks I've ever had. Typically don't review unless exceptionally great or bad and this was the latter. Was not busy with <20 patrons. It took 15 minutes for a bar tender to acknowledge us. Then another 15 for the drink to be made. There was cubed ice in the old fashion that was somehow already melted on delivery with watered down bourbon and over portion of bitters. I'm not a fancy drinker with high standards. I'll drink Coors banquet. But if you're going to have bad service, have great drinks or vice versa. Totally a tourist trap.

On the positive, food was pretty good and the employee who brought it out was quite nice. The entire atmosphere of the evening however was shot due to a different, older employee who tried to take our drinks away claiming he couldn’t tell there was still drink left. He then later came back to our table trying to force us out of the booth for the fact it was “reserved” but there were no reserved signs on the table to begin with and we had already been there an hour. Then he said he could move us to a different room so we could wait for our food there, but not before asking why I have an attitude in response to me just shrugging in an annoyed way. Where did he move us to? A table that was RESERVED. Ironic. We closed out after speed eating our meal and of course the booth they forced us out of previously had no reserve sign still and was entirely empty. If this is my first experience at this bar on a week night, I don’t wanna know how that guy handles actual busy nights.

This is a new update for me I visited the Well again a Thursday night 5/9/2024
Within seconds a Black American guy came over to me and grabbed unto my right arm I told him to leave me alone I went to the security and he said because you're beautiful I was not feeling safe for that night I had 4 men came up to me one of them hand touch my face and scratch my right eye I am very Traumatized. I made a Police report and went to UCLA hospital in Santa Monica to get my eye exam it was very swollen the same day someone called & Threatened me
WOMEN IT'S NOT SAFE Where I BEEN PROMOTING ON ALL OF MY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS . There's no camera's inside of the Lounge

Went on a Thursday night. Honestly I had a great experience. Not sure about these other people Lisa and Vince are extremely nice and welcoming you can tell they care about their customers. The drinks are good and strong. The food is also good. No complaints would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be coming back again

Intimit and dark Hollywood bar with a long history in LA loure. Visited during happy hour and had a great experience with both food and drink. We had the loaded potatoes, spicy wings, chicken tacos, and fries. All were top notch, though the wings were not as spicy as billed. Decor was updated during COVID, so modern touches and comforts await patrons. The sound system is full and surrounding, spread out so there isn't a need to have loud and quiet spots that would interfere with your typical conversation level.

Now featuring live music on select nights. Check the online calendar. Attended a performance by Father Daddy led by door man Art Machuca. It was a great blues rock performance, and the sound guy absolutely amazed. Sounded great and didn't overpower like many live performances. Loud, but in a good way. Vocals and guitars on par with the drums. Hard to attain, and great and clear. Enjoyable.

Great hidden gem in Hollywood! Dark, dim, quaint ambience, with great weekday specials on both drinks and food. The Monday grilled cheese sandwiches they offer are delicious! The Brie cheese, sautéed apple & apricot butter grilled cheese was finger licking good!

This place is awesome! I was looking for a place to host my birthday at after Covid ruined having one last year. After getting jerked around at other potential venues I remembered that a lady friend who is very hard to impress had mentioned this is her favorite bar in LA so I went in to ask if it was a possibility. Flash forward, Vincent the owner turned out to be the coolest most welcoming guy and set me up with the best birthday party I’ve ever had: He set us up in their private area in the back that spills out into the main bar so you get the best of both worlds and he had the bartender make some special drinks to serve just for my party, themed after my personality and printed on a picture of me from social media. My friends loved it and we had the best time!
The bar is really classy and inviting, the ladies in our group particularly liked the vibe and I’m pretty sure two of my friends who met there that night fell in love and I think the classy atmosphere where the friendly bartenders are super welcoming and treat you like a king only facilitated the magic. The food is great and well priced, the drinks are great, and it’s very obvious to me that Vincent takes pride in every aspect of this place because every little detail is immaculate and the staff is well chosen, friendly, and attentive unlike many LA bars.
Like my friend who suggested this place, I now agree that, yes, this is my favorite bar in LA. It would be a good spot to take a date or an an old friend from out of town, or to finish up the night after a crazier place because you can actually have a conversation here and enjoy yourself rather than scream.
It’s more classy and low key than the other bars in the area while still being fun and the clientele reflects that vibe. The fist thing you notice is everyone is smiling and happy. You can’t go wrong.
