Didn't stay at hotel but ate at the restaurant. Great farm to table restaurant. It wasn't easy to find considering I'm not from the area and it was night.
Everything we had was delicious and well seasoned. I don't even like mushrooms but the Cavatelli was full of flavor.

My partner and I recently stayed at Troutbeck and, while the experience had a few bumps, it was still an enjoyable one due to the outstanding service provided. Initially, there were some plumbing issues in the room that caused a bit of inconvenience, along with some unexpected noise disturbances that were a little disruptive. Additionally, we had trouble with scheduling a spa appointment, which added to the frustrations.

However, what truly stood out was how quickly Julio, a member of the hotel staff, responded to these challenges. His attention to detail and swift resolution of the issues was exactly what I would expect from a high-end property. Not only did he take care of the immediate concerns, but he also went above and beyond by offering an in-room champagne service, complimentary dinner, and even a free night stay, which made up for the initial inconveniences.

The overall accommodations were fantastic, and the friendly and accommodating staff made the entire stay that much more enjoyable. Their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile really turned things around and helped us to appreciate the quality of this hotel. Despite the hiccups, I would absolutely return for the impeccable service and hospitality that ultimately made the stay memorable.

This location is home for the naturalists, poets, romantics, artists and especially made for the lovebirds.

We came here for a friend's intimate wedding on a Sunday night. The setting, ambiance, vibes: everything was perfect and incredible.

It's the absolute perfect location for a getaway, staycation, special occasion, anniversary, wedding, you name it. It's of course a very unique place for unique people that love to appreciate food, nature, art and the beautiful surroundings in this gorgeous hotel and event space.

We dined in their smaller/private/event space where we enjoyed a beautiful 3 course, slow paced, farm to table, meal (and experience).

We enjoyed the castelfranco radicchio as our first (which was absolutely delish with apple, candy roasted squash and pepitas). Followed by the ricotta cavatelli (all handmade) with local mushrooms, salsa verde and parmesan. I was super excited about the salsa verde and wish I could've tasted it more. For dessert, I got to mix match and try with my hot date the squash cake with coconut ice cream and chocolate cremeux which was absolutely incredible!

Overall, we had such an amazing experience and can't wait to be back for another special occasion or intimate dinner with my hubby. I would absolutely recommend this place if you're looking for an intimate, unplugged, local, getaway. It's a VIBE.

Beautiful property with great design, both on the exterior/grounds and interiors. Many activities on property, but so many quaint villages and areas to explore within a short drive. Every night we enjoyed a delicious dinner and great cocktails on the veranda. The staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the entire experience and highly recommend Troutbeck!

We celebrated our anniversary with a last minute reservation to Troutbeck. I can't say enough good things about it. The people, the food, the space ~ it was all wonderful and memorable and we can't wait to go back.

I took my wife to dinner to celebrate her birthday, and troutbeck did not disappoint! We started with the troutbeck spritz and the wake up call. The spritz was light and refreshing and the wake up call was just that, made with a spicy jalepeño infused bourbon. For our appetizers I had the foie gras which had the most perfectly balanced flavors, giving both sweet and savory bites, atop the milk toast. My wife had the sweet potato with labneh. Talk about a food-gasm. The crispy bits paired with the labneh beneath the pillow soft sweet potatoes were just divine! For our mid course we had the young lettuces and the cauliflower. Both had hints of lemon, and gave a nice crunch. The crispy quinoa paired nicely with the clothboumd cheddar atop the lettuce and the cauliflower was superb. For our mains I had the venison and my wife had the duck. The duck was seared mid rare, and had the ideal balance of sweet and savory, with the quince turnips and crispy sunchokes. We got a side of French fries to pair with the duck and they were crisped to perfection.The venison was tasty! For dessert we had the sticky toffee made with dates, which we enjoyed so much! We came hungry and left full. We finished with a fire in the living room and are so grateful for an incredible night. 10/10 recommend

Gorgeous, historic grounds with so much to explore and warm staff that made my stay here special 🫶🏼 stunning pool, breathtaking wellness center, beautiful fireplaces and libraries. As a writer, I felt inspired and at ease here. Perfect for a getaway or group retreat which is what brought me here.

From top to bottom, Troutbeck is a perfect retreat. The moment you arrive there is a sense of serenity that feels of a past world. The staff greets you with a friendliness and charm that truly feels unique to each one of them, never robotic or by a book - but just like the most helpful friend.

Whether it be the main house or the cottages, the rooms are impeccably clean and well kept with a timely service. Beds, sheets, pillows, soaps, showers, all feel elevated and fresh while perfectly matching the continued feeling around the hotel.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks - all to the utmost standard with no detail overlooked. Food made with the best local ingredients and creativity with every option that brings you back each meal and day, excited to try something you passed up previously. Some standouts of our most recent trip were the bagel and trout gravlax for breakfast, and the steak sirloin for dinner. The wine list in impeccable, cocktails have a welcoming familiarity, and local options keep you curious and continually falling in love with the surrounding area.

I could go on and on about Troutbeck, but I’ll just bring it back to what continues to bring us back - the staff. With each touchpoint of check in, food service, wellness, etc. they grow as friends during your trip. You learn some of their stories, their appreciation for the work they do every day, the love of the area themselves. Their attention to detail is unmatched - whether it be setting up a perfect fire by the river after your dinner, already lit and waiting for you.. Remembering your regular coffee, water, cocktail orders.. Recognizing you from a past trip.. Holding onto something you said in passing.. it all comes together to create the most magical experience. And hard to leave your new found friends at the end of it all.
