I joined South Florida weight loss and wellness program looking for a place that would not only help me lose weight but help me understand how to create healthier eating habits that works for me. From August 2024 to December 2024, I’ve lost 41 pounds and feel great!

I started on 06/25/24, and I never looked back. For a while now I’ve been wanting to reach my goal weight of 200lbs, and I surpassed that number. I started this program weighing in at 210lbs and I finished weighing in at 184lbs.

Please understand that you have to mentally prepare yourself for a LIFE changing experience. What you’re used to consuming in food will not be the same, though you will incorporate your favorite foods when applicable, but if you think you can ALWAYS cheat, you will fail.

Discipline at the very beginning will be key to your success in learning and understanding what nutrition and food does to your body. Don’t let the food dominate you, you dominate the food.

I entered this program already at a desired weight as it took me 4-5 years to learn about food, your body and being in a caloric deficit is all about. “Walk and crawl” before you start to “jog and run”.

Doctor Valdes is excellent, the first month I lost 19 pounds, he takes the time to explain everything to me and every time I have questions his team responds super fast, they really care about you, while helping me meet my weight loss goals, at Dr. Valdes' office you feel like family. Dr Valdés and his whole staff are so wonderful! Super supportive and very kind. Dr Valdés sat with me and explained everything and what to expect. We spoke for at least 30 minutes and answered all of my questions, he went into so much detail. As a plus size woman it’s nice to be seen as a human being and treated with respect and empathy. Unfortunately in the medical field you often get told you need to lose weight, but no one ever has any solutions.
