We stayed at Oaklodge on Jan.28&29! It was absolutely amazing! God blessed us to having the whole lodge to ourselves for my honeys Birthday! I loved every minute of it! Never had such a good breakfast and Matt was incredible! I can't wait to go back. Thanks Matt for the time of our lives!❤️

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Oak Lodge in October 2024, and it was absolutely stunning! Nestled in the woods, this venue offers a beautifully rustic yet elegant atmosphere that feels like a dream for both couples and photographers. The scenery, from the charming chapel to the cozy lodge and scenic wooded trails, provided endless gorgeous backdrops for portraits.

The staff at Oak Lodge was exceptional, ensuring every detail was perfect and making the day seamless for the couple and vendors. The intimate and peaceful setting made for such a romantic and unforgettable experience.

Came for a wedding & stayed 2 nights in one of the cabins. I believe the owners have thought of every detail in providing amenities for short stays & that everything was high end, including the nice fluffy towels & robes, flashlights, coffee & tea etc. The wedding was lovely in the various venues & chef John took care of delicious breakfast & was very kind & considerate.

My only negative to consider would be to deep clean the cabins, meaning actually moving countertop items, lamps & furniture as there was some residual hair, coffee grounds, crumbs etc. we also dealt with 2 different types of ants inside the cabin.

First and foremost, whether you are considering Oak Lodge for your upcoming wedding or as the perfect weekend getaway, you won't be disappointed.

We chose Oak Lodge for our wedding, and it was the best decision we made!

Lodging: Bride and Groom lodging was included in our overall cost, and it was perfect. It served as the "getting ready suite" for the morning of as well. The Eagles Nest was comfortable, very spacious, and a perfect step away from all the happenings. Our guests chose to stay in cabins and the bridal party in the main lodge. We had every single room and cabin booked except for 1! Each and every guest, all from different parts of the country, raved about their spacious, clean, modern, and cozy accommodations. It was so nice knowing that our guests were comfortable all weekend long. Easy and convenient lodging made our out-of-town guests have a stress-free weekend. We are all looking forward to our next stay!

Food: DELICIOUS. I've never heard so many rave reviews about food from a wedding. It's not even that it was good "wedding food" it was simply good FOOD. The plating was visually stunning and every bite delicious. Chef Anthony and his team made the planning process as stress-free as possible. There were several guests (including the me, the bride) with food allergies and they were able to accommodate each request. Overnight guests were also provided a great breakfast including homemade maple syrup. It was fantastic.
Bonus: If you have the chance to visit on an evening when the cafe is open whether your close to town or visiting as a bnb guest, you will be delighted with locally grown food options all prepared to perfection.

Venue Staff/Service: Our wedding coordinator was Matt. I hope anyone visiting Oak Lodge has the chance to meet him. He is as calm cool and collected as it gets. He made each step of our wedding planning process easy. He is straightforward, to the point, and assures that if there's an issue, it's fixed before you even know it happened. Leading up to our day, Matt answered countless questions, communicated with vendors, and made sure that each part of our wedding weekend was exactly how we wished it to be. We're thankful we relied on him for assistance and timeline help. It made for a smooth day. Matt and his team executed the day perfectly. Our forecast looked less than favorable but somehow everything that we wanted to have outdoors was able to happen. Even though we know Matt didn't change the weather from a downpour to sunshine, it sure felt like he did! The servers and other staff were all extremely pleasant and so very helpful. They made sure all guests were taken care of throughout the evening and didn't let anything go astray. We also could not be more thankful Oak Lodge setting up and tearing down everything for us. We were so grateful to have a venue willing to go above and beyond so our family could sit back, relax, and enjoy the weekend of celebrations.

If you've made it this far, I hope you can realize that Oak Lodge is a truly special place. Not only is the natural beauty next level but the service, accommodations, food, and people are what set it apart from the others. Choosing Oak Lodge to start our forever was one of the best decisions. We cannot thank them enough for all they did to make our day that of our dreams.

I booked this location on a whim as a stop Over on our way home from a trip to Virginia. The only thing I’m sorry for is that I didn’t book more than one night! This location is absolutely beautiful, the cabins are very comfortable with all the amenities you need, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the food is great. You cannot go wrong with a stay at Oak lodge! We’ll be back!

Long story: We had to put down our 19yo kitty. Dear friends camping at Laurel Hill State Park invited us up to meet at Oak Lodge the next day (Tuesday) to get us away from litter boxes, water bowls, and food plate. WOW, seriously WOW! I had the Reuben 10! Buddy had the pastrami and sweet potato fries 10! His wife had a chicken salad with feta and strawberries 10! Mine had a chicken quesadilla exactly how ordered 10! A few bottles of wine on the side and a Creme Brulee rates a 10+! The setting is 100% outdoors but gorgeous! Check out the wedding chapel! The best part is the tab, the property setting says big bucks but honestly the prices are spot on. Pick a table, order at the bar, get a number, sit, your food arrives promptly and delicious!

The place was magical! Beautiful rooms, food was amazing, lake was beautiful, Employees were so nice! I would love to come back to Oak Lodge!
